{pretty, happy, funny, real}

Finally, I'm joining the lovely bloggers at Like Mother, Like Daughter in {pretty, happy, funny, real}

{pretty}
. . . this curtain filters the morning light in my bathroom.

I find new homes not as charming as older homes and sometimes I am discouraged that my home (being new) lacks charm.  But perhaps charm is not found in just the old - that is easy, it is found in the lovely regardless of age.

{happy}
I wish you could hear the squeals of laughter as she ran back and forth on the sidewalk.

{funny}

This is what happens when I am so distracted by doing Kalliope's hair (and she is sitting happily and quietly entertaining herself) that I fail to notice what she's up to!  Big sister's play make-up was such fun!

 {real}
Burying our beloved kitten, Louie.  We think he was bitten by a snake.  He had been acting slightly off for a day and then disappeared, but we didn't find him for a few days and then it was too late.

I love your comment about finding the charm being in the lovely, regardless of age! We moved from a 1912 bungalow to a 1979 farmhouse, and I am still struggling to find the charm. Your comment really rang true!

Hello, Mrs. Fordyce! I love the Willamette Valley - you are lucky to live in such a pretty area. My husband and I visited many years ago.

Thank you for your encouraging comment. I am trying to find the charming in my 2010 home...sometimes it isn't easy, but I think that is because I'm overlooking what is charming about it (which may not be so much the architecture as the light, setting, and our furnishings). Eye of the beholder and all that.

Ah, I'm so sorry about your kitty.

Beautiful curtain!

Thank you, Briana. We were so sorry to lose him. He was the sweetest cat we've ever had, and we've had a few. He was only with us for 6 months, but those 6 months made a big impact. He'll not soon be forgotten by our family.

Christ is Risen!

All the photos were lovely - especially the first. So sorry about the loss of your kitten. It must have been quite a shock to the family.
