Kate will be receiving some delicious Scuppernong Jelly from the Mast General Store, which is a famous old General Store that started up in the NC mountains in 1883. Scuppernongs are my favorite summertime treat. In late summer/early fall, my Dad would often take us grape picking. Then we'd gorge ourselves on Scuppernongs and Muscadines until they were all gone. YUM!

I missed the contest! I totally would have known Hendersonville. I spent many happy weekends in my life in Hendersonville, Asheville, Boone, Banner Elk, and all of those lovely places in my mountains. Mast General Store and the Candy Barrel were our favorite places to stop as children. Makes me want to go!
Honestly, I'm surprised someone guessed the location so quickly! I thought someone might get crafty and do a google search on the Inn name, but the winner actually had been to that inn!
I'm sorry you didn't win - you would know exactly where we were!
Have you ever been to Kanuga? Our old church used to go there every Father's Day weekend, but that is no longer an option. (bit of a bitter story there - perhaps another day, I'm trying not to dwell!)
